Third place it is!
Happy to announce that one of the pictures I took at Tenuta San Leonardo last September was awarded 3rd place in the People category of Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year as part of the prestigious Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year.
The image was part of an assignment about the region of Trentino for Food and Travel magazine , which is due to be published soon.
My image of the Venetian Carnival made it to the final cut as well and was highly commended in the Food for Celebrations category.
This year's award saw almost 9,000 entries coming from 70 different countries, attracting some of the finest food photographers from all over the world. It is a pleasure to be part of such a beautiful selection for the second year in a row. You can view all the finalist images here.
As a consequence of the Covid-19 situation, the Awards Evening took place online, hosted by Former Blur bassist Alex James. Never been to a virtual party before but such is life in these strange times - many of my friends tuned in as well and we celebrated the results with a video call once the awards were over. Thanks to all of you out there for the energy and support - i feel very much loved.
