Sardinia flies to Oxford
Myriam and her mother, one of my pictures of the traditional dress of Gavoi, which is part of my body of work about Sardinian traditions, will be exhibited at OVADA during Photo Oxford, Oct16-Nov16 as part of the Open Call competition exploring the theme 'Women & Photography: Ways of Seeing & Being Seen'.
A very exciting news which comes at a time when my Sardinia project is about to go to press and become a book.
Thanks so much to all the people who voted for my image - it ended up in the top 1% among 1055 photos by 330 photographers. And - needless to say - thanks to the lovely Myriam and her family, who taught me a lot about Sardinian traditions and opened their door - and their hearts - to me.
For up-to-date information on OVADA Gallery opening times and arrangements, please visit the OVADA website. Due to the current sanitary emergency, this exhibition - as well as many of the events related to this year's Photo Oxford Festival will also be available online. Visit the Photo Oxford website for further information.
Last but not least, those of you who wish to pre-order a copy of my book Senza Mare at a discounted price can do so by visiting the Crowdbook website, here.
